  1. Remote desktop software
          These days there are software that provide you the facility of accessing desktop of a PC                        remotely. Remotely desktop software lets you access your computer and all its soft ware lets                you access your computer and all the application over the internet using another device , 
         essentially by streaming a feed of your desktop. This works from a table or phone, even over a             cellular data network.

These days, remote access software come with             an integrated file-transfer option, e.g., in Team viewer software  just select "File Transfer "                   While connecting to a remote computer with Team Viewer, and You 'll be able to access all the           files on your PC's hard data or upload files to your remote PC from your current device.

   3. Accessing/storing Documents via cloud 
    
       These days, you also can keep your files in cloud storage so that you can access them from                   anywhere in the world via your web browser, the server's mobile app, or its syncing client, To             avail this,m you can place  your files into cloud service like Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google                 Drive etc. and they'll sync online.

The downside is           that you'rs limited by the amount of storage the service providers. if you're worried storing                   sensitive files online, you can always encrypt files before storing them in the cloud.
